ISU has a history of excellence in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) since the 1980’s that has evolved into an expertise in multiphase flow science including gas-solid, solid-liquid, bubble- and droplet-laden flows. Multiphase flows play a fundamental role in numerous fields, each comprising several multi-billion-dollar industries. CoMFRE provides a forum for integration of the activities and skill-sets of multiple ISU investigators with external collaborators from academia, industry and national laboratories to accelerate knowledge transfer from fundamental scientific advances in multiphase flow to industrial applications and end-users.
April 30 – May 1, 2018
The primary focus of the CoMFRE Symposium is to identify a common set of technical challenges currently facing industry in the area of multiphase flow. The symposium will feature keynote presentations, contributed talks, and a poster session. The symposium also coincides with the CoMFRE Industry Day and will offer many opportunities for networking and interaction with leading researchers and practitioners of multiphase flow from industry, national labs and academia.
Registration for the CoMFRE Symposium can be completed at
Note that an early bird cut-off for the registration is April 16th.
